Review Process:
Abstract Review for 2009 submissions will be via a committee comprised of healthcare professionals serving on the ODAC and Journal of Drugs in Dermatology (JDD) advisory boards. Conference managers will also review all abstracts. Content will be evaluated based on quality and relevance of topic, educational value, timeliness, and clearly identified objectives. ODAC will make final decisions as to acceptance of abstracts for poster presentation.
Deadlines:
- Poster presentation submission final deadline: October 24, 2008.
- Each abstract or poster abstract submitted will automatically receive notification that it has been received. However, due to the number of submissions, additional acknowledgement may not be sent unless the submission is accepted.
- ODAC will send acceptance notification of poster sessions in November.
Accepted Poster Presentation Submissions and Conference Fees:
Residents and Fellows who have posters accepted for presentation will be awarded a priority ARTE in Dermatology Scholarship to attend ODAC. The ARTE in Dermatology Scholarship program supports a specialized track of the Orlando Dermatology Aesthetic & Clinical conference that is specifically designed by key thought-leaders to meet the needs of dermatology residents in training. The ARTE in Dermatology Scholarship program offers educational and networking activities with an acute focus on the most important issues facing residents today: a concentration on core therapeutic areas, an insight into board review, understanding practice management, and an introduction to aesthetic practices.
Non-residents and fellows, including practicing dermatologists, health plans, pharmaceutical companies, researchers, analysts, technology providers and consultants, who have posters accepted for presenting will be given a reduced registration fee of 50%.
Once your poster has been accepted, you will be given information on how to register for ODAC as a Poster Presenter.
